This NEW YEAR 2012. A new BEGINNING. It can be a wonderful LIFE!
SMILE and the whole world SMILES with YOU.
The DIARY of LEARNINGS.
GOODBYE 2011.
We are sad to see you go amid the awesome fireworks …..
Should old acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind?
HELLO 2012!
Radiant showers of colorful hues light up the darken skies.
Let’s pray for an upsurge in the GLOBAL ECONOMY and WORLD PEACE.
‘Tis going to be a SPLENDID YEAR!
Animal LOVE, whatever.
Sweet, divine LOVE. Aha …..
(BLAH) Here’s LOOKING at YOU, folks!
Yeah, finally, a brand new year 2012 has arrived at our doorstep.
New beginnings, new episodes, new adventures.
I am revisiting two of my old articles to extract the essences.
Come what may, irrespective of happiness, grief, joy or sorrow – never let go of this element called positivism.
We’ve sailed through many a stormy weather and we’re likely to hit the rut again.
Life and whatever it may bring is a journey of sorts, providing lessons along the way that we can learn, testing our confidences.
What about you?
In retrospective, you’ll look back in wonderment at yester year’s mistakes and wish that, if you had been wise enough, you’d never have made them.
12 new months are beckoning us round the corner as we push forward for glorious expectations.
Nothing comes from nothing, we will learn.
So we’ve to honestly promise ourselves to focus on planning and working hard.
Wistful dreaming will lead us nowhere.
No, it never could.
I write, therefore I am.
Without your unwavering support, I wouldn’t have headed this far.
It has been a long journey of learnings.
My profuse thanks to all of you, for the encouragements and well wishes.
TODAY our trudge begins with the first leaf.
In the following twelve months, there are a lot more paths to explore.
COME, let’s take a stroll down memory lane.
It’s gonna be one happy trek.
Writer CAROL PEARSON believes that ordinary people can lead extraordinary lives when she says:
“Heroes take journeys,
confront dragons,
and discover the treasure of their true selves.”
Do you?
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012, CHUM.
May the force be with you – always!

SMILE, BE HAPPY, DANCE! A SPONTANEOUS BURST can sometimes do WONDERS.
LIFE …. (sigh) ….. is LIFE.
Into our mundane existence, some rain must fall, right?
We are not talking about the April showers, but the darn thunderstorms as well,
Oh yeah, when it pours, it surely POURS!
It’s a stark reality that LIFE CAN BE PEACEFUL one moment.
And so terrifying the next,
Specially these days when we are all trudging on this thin ice of an economic gloom through no real fault of ours.
And adorning that wry smile when you are just feeling utterly wretched and fearful.
In the business world, entrepreneurs are constantly besieged by enormous humbling bank failures and violent stock market swings.
If you are doing business, this is the name of the game.
STRESS is a drudgery, yet unavoidable.
It’s a part of life, part of living, where the rollercoasting wheel of fortune goes up and down, taking us through the uplifts as well as the gloom.
Day in, day out, this corner, round the bend, you’ll run into traffic jams, public disputes, people mayhem ….
Capital stress!
It’s little wonder that the number of suicide cases are on the rise.
Even celebrities are killing themselves, notably in Korea recently.
THE HIGHER YOU CLIMB, THE STEEPER THE FALL.
When success eludes a CELEBRITY and once the adulation evaporates,
The pressure will start to creep in -
When fans and producers turn their backs,
You’re all so-ALONE …. and despair overwhelms YOU,
It’s like you are thrust to one dead end and find that there’s no escape route.
BEWILDERMENT, MORE STRESS.
But hey, there’s salvation if we fortify our minds,
Do something good out of the ordinary.
Be a “cheer leader”, spread cheer and good tidings,
SMILE and the world world beams,
DANCE and the whole team rocks,
A spontaneous burst can sometimes works wonders.
Take this episode for example:
More than 200 dancers were deliberately performing their version of “Do Re Mi” in the Central Station of Antwerp on March 23, 2009 8 am, morning.
It was a promotional stunt for a Belgian television program, where they were sourcing for actors in “The Sound of Music”.
Passers-by, attracted by the familiar JULIE ANDREWS’“Do Re Mi” song , were not aware of what was happening just burst into song and danced to the rhythm of the music.
Everything was impromptu.
The air was suddenly filled with wonderment and laughter.
People promptly forgot their worries and gyrated to the beat.
They were having the fun of their lives,
There was harmony, there was rhythm during those moments,
Beat it, yeah, beat it!
So remember:
Spread a little sunshine day by day,
A spontaneous burst of laughter from time to time will work wonders with us, the people around us and the environment,
It’s good for your soul,
Cheer is infectious,
It is contagious to those around you,
So run,
Pass the baton,
Kindle joy,
Spread a little happiness,
Didn’t the late Michael Jackson sing “HEAL THE WORLD”?

UNENDING LOVE, AMAZING GRACE. One Little Miracle a Day is ALL I Need.
Irrespective of whatever religion or creed you may subscribe to, this song will never fail to reach you deep inside - and touch you, body and soul.
The lyrics tug at my heartstrings and redefine precious moments for me, as much as I hope they will also do so for you.
Let this song take you through a stupendously amazing journey.
Thank you CHRIS TOMLIN and a quiet moment now please, everyone.

“LOVE in SPACE” 全球热恋 Hong Kong Movie Review. A Mumbo-Jumbo Mayhem of LOVE taking Flight.
“LOVE IN SPACE” 全球热恋
PRESS PREVIEW
One wonders if this crazy film is an earth-bound or an air-borne romantic slapstick.
The English title briskly confirms it as “Love In Space” but does not tally with the Chinese title which is translated as “The global populace is in love”.
The “space” episode imparts as only one portion of the three stories, but it is obvious that this episode takes center stage as the main selling point.
Surely this film targets silly billies and jills who are likely to roar at anything that’s remotely ticklish.
Joint directors Wing Shya and Tony Chan must have panicked when they found they are running short of ideas, that their creative taps runneth dry.
So they resorted to spinning a parable of never-been-done-before treatment of LOVE, first taking place on mother earth and thence fly you all the way to the moon.
Enough nonsense.
They roped in ever ready actors Aaron Kwok and Rene Liu and strapped them with wires to “suspend” them in mid air. This being the case, you will have to tread lightly on your suspension of disbelief, otherwise it’s unlikely you are able to make any sense of the situation.
You will be sinking your teeth into one of the wackiest bumpers of the year, played to tortuous death by some the industry veterans such as Aaron Kwok, Rene Liu, Eason Chan, Angela Baby, whoever.
Money is the name of the game and is a powerful motivator to lure some of the more-than-willing actors to accept lack-lustre scripts.
So much for starters.
Now for the main course.
LOVE IN SPACE is a preposterous romantic comedy that follows a tiresome mummy dearest and her three grown up love-lorn daughters. Each daughter is successfully endowed in career and form, except that true love eludes them. Then sweet fate intervenes and each of them get to encounter dazzling romances in Beijing, Sydney and (gasp …) even on a space shuttle.
Naturally the viewer will be transported to enchanting locales in Beijing and Sydney and also on board a spacecraft on an aimless journey.
It is as nutty as you can get, with a script that’s unlikely to bag any award and will get nobody anywhere.
No rewards for guessing the plot.
Eldest daughter is Rose (Rene Liu) and her paramour Michael (Aaron Kwok) are astronauts doing nothing interesting in their space ship, except spouting trivia, which is why they broke up before and they are at it again, trying to rekindle the romance in space.
Squeaky clean second daughter Lily (Gwei Lun Mei) is in Sydney where she encounters her dream man (Eason Chan) who, paradoxically, is a disheveled garbage collector.
Youngest daughter (Angela Baby) is the loveliest and is an up-and-coming actress who just bags her Worst Actress Award. She finds the man of her dreams when she poses as a struggling waitress to get field experience. He is a down and out writer (Jing Boran) who works as a waiter by day and moonlights as a watermelon peddler by night.
This movie zooms the fact that unlike poles definitely attract.
As for the widow mother, she’s not as calm as she appears. There are “undercurrents” beneath her exterior.
No spoilers here, but for the sake of the ensemble cast you might want to give this feature film a chance.
There could be someone you like in the glittering cast who will make your trip worthwhile.
As a bonus, you will be treated to an updated version of a famous Teresa Tang’s hit “The Moon represents my Heart”.
It’s as upbeat as the movie.
