BURLESQUE Movie Review. The PULSE is SEXY, the MOOD’s HOT, it’s BURLESQUE night!

BURLESQUE Press Preview

Gyrating hips and sensuous struts form the platform of this awesome musical.

You may want to rock with the rhythm and dance to the beat as lead actress CHRISTINA AGUILERA bellows her throaty number with come-hither eyes and inviting thrusts, setting the stage afire.

The pulse is sexy and the mood’s hot, cajoling and ……

Come on, in!

It’s BURLESQUE night.

Let your hair down and dance the blues away.

The Story:

It may be time for the Burlesque Lounge to be sold.

But, no!

Tess (CHER), a retired dancer and owner of the venue is dead broke but struggles to keep the aging theater alive.

She refuses to give up.

She is in financial straits and her Lounge’s troupe members are becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems.

Meanwhile, the life of Ali (CHRISTINA AGUILERA), a small-town girl from Iowa with big city dreams, is about to change dramatically.

Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, she quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque.

Backed by newfound friends amongst the theater’s crew, she manages to fulfill her dreams of being on stage herself. ”I am nothing and should be everything,” is her claim to success.

Things take a dramatic turn though when Ali’s big voice makes her become the main attraction of the revue.

Now Ali’s is being noticed and she’s going places.

It’s a fact that Hollywood rarely produces musicals these days, so BURLESQUE is a welcome respite.

Here’s a colorful musical potpourri, a dancey movie directed by STEVE ANTIN with stunning choreography that’s a feast spread before your eyes.

You’ve got beautiful, sexy girls to ogle at as they sweep you off your feet with the all the rhythm you can muster, and whatever blues.

There are exciting show stopping and heart stomping numbers to render that magical uplift you need on a bad field day.

You will be emotionally mesmerized.

Now, lets’ rattle a bit about the stars.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA has plenty of on-stage oomph.

The film rocks with her. She takes center stage.

The camera flatters her looks, her charm, her beautiful face and bod.

She sings most of the numbers in BURLESQUE, except two.

She has wonderful on-screen chemistry with CHER, her co-star.

And CHER, age-defying at 64, still looks stunning after all these years, with a lithe body to die for.

She belts two numbers, chiefly the powerhouse hit “YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE LAST OF ME” which was named Best Original Song at the Golden Globe 2011.

Then there is the ever-sexy dude with the odd ball name CAM GIGANDET.

He can give BRAD PITT a run for his money any time, in terms of raw sexuality and sensuality, with his “piercing” eyes and steely gaze.

Watch him as he parades butt-naked right before CHRISTINA AGUILERA in a teasing, tantalizing, seductive scene.

BURLESQUE may not be a fine cinematic achievement, but no matter.

It may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but don’t give up.

It’s a movie about the beautiful people, for the beautiful people.

So HEY THERE! …. models, actors, fashionistas and all the young and the glorious.

Are you all feeling beautiful tonight?

It’s BURLESQUE time, step right in.

You won’t regret it.
