“NARNIA: The VOYAGE of the DAWN TREADER” Press Preview

‘Tis the season to be jolly with the advent of YULETIDE,

following which will be the holiday festivities to greet a brand new year.

Spring is in the air and there’s abundant joy to pass around.

And watching NARNIA would be like embarking on a mystical journey, reliving life’s magical moments that we share with our loved ones.

It’s wholesome family fun.

On blessings which we should well remember, the time is just about NOW.

In life, it’s never too late for regrets and making amends.

Didn’t NARNIA beckon us to:

Return to MAGIC,

Return to HOPE,

Return to NARNIA?

NARNIA, yes, and the saga continues with THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER, the third in the trilogy of the swashbuckling adventures that will continue to astound you, no doubt.

NARNIA is the promised land where peace prevails,

a land of magical delights where animals talk, magic is abundant

and where the good will always triumph over evil.

Glory be!

The VOYAGE of the DAWN TREADER continues where part 2 of NARNIA leaves us:

Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their snobbish cousin Eustace Scrubb find themselves swallowed into a painting and are inadvertently transported to Narnia.

Upon arrival, they join King Caspian’s voyage on his ship the Dawn Treader to search for the seven lords who were banished when Miraz took over the throne.

This perilous journey is fraught with numerous wonders and perils as they sail toward Aslan’s country at the end of the world.

That’s in a tight nutshell, the entire brief plot, now presented in delightful 3-D style.

C.S. Lewis the novelist of NARNIA continues to combine Christian allegory with a child’s fantasy of eluding reality by defecting to a magical land where the child protagonists are perceived as heroic kings and queens.

This time the characters set out to sea, aboard the Dawn Treader and searching for lost lords, magical swords, townsfolk sold into slavery and an evil green mist.

Just suspend disbelief and let your imagination flow to truly enjoy this stupendous tale.

After all, it’s CHRISTMAS to begin with.

This Reviewer is not a Christian but has warm feelings always, preluding the Yuletide season.

You don’t have to be a Christian to appreciate world peace and soak in the spirit of fellowship.

Didn’t WILLIAM TEMPLE say:

“Turn, we pray, the hearts of all people, and their rulers,

that by the power of your Holy Spirit

peace may be established among the nations

on the foundation of justice, righteousness and truth.

Through HIM who was lifted up on the cross

to draw all people to himself,

your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

English director Michael Apted has taken over from New Zealand director Andrew Adamson and his VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER is aimed at families and young audiences.

The action is pretty decent and the film has an overall gloss in the visual presentation.

In the end it is an adventure fantasy film that delivers a truly entertaining experience.

This CHRISTMAS, come on board the DAWN TREADER and set sail for NARNIA.

Indulge in the beautiful, breathtaking splendor of the 3D miracle that comes with it.

You will be more than pleasantly enthralled.
